Overview of This Webinar
The B.C. Community Road Safety Toolkit is an easily-accessible knowledge resource about road safety designs and strategies that local governments can implement to improve road safety outcomes. Most of the contents are transferrable to jurisdictions across Canada and are intended for all agencies with a mandate related to road safety, including health, insurance, engineering and policing. This webinar will overview the contents of the first three modules of this series, and go through a few examples from each.
- Module 1 – Protecting People Walking and Cycling
- Module 2 – Safe Roadway Designs to Protect All Road Users
- Module 3 – Implementation Tools and Strategies
Raheem Dilgir is a Road Safety Professional with 23 years of experience in Canada and internationally. After working for consulting firms and in municipal government for 16 years, Raheem started TranSafe Consulting, with offices in BC and Alberta. Raheem has a passion for assisting road agencies to develop, deliver and evaluate of transportation safety plans and programs. He participates actively on road safety industry committees through TAC and TRB, has delivered several workshops, and is a Past Co-Chair of the BC Road Safety Strategy’s Safe Roads and Communities Working Committee. As part of this role, Raheem worked closely with RoadSafetyBC to envision and oversee the development of the BC Community Road Safety Toolkit.
