The speakers will present the genesis of the idea for Biker Down in the UK and how it progressed to become a national safety program adopted by UK Fire and Rescue, UK police and more. They will also outline the 3 main modules of the program launching in Canada that includes: Collision Scene Management, Preserve Life First Aid and The Thinking Biker which delves into the science of conspicuity, motion camouflage, saccadic masking and more. Finally, the speakers will touch upon the direct and indirect social/economic costs of a transportation fatality vs major injury and how Biker Down can save Canadian lives and dollars.

Serial entrepreneur and all round safety advocate, Steve is the founder of Biker Down North America and inventor of the Medical Data Carrier. His passion is safety for everyone, at work or at play, with particular focus on emergency preparedness for motorcyclists and school aged kids. His work with the State Motorcycle Safety Association MSP committee is helping to shape how motorcycle training is delivered in the USA.
