In collaboration with Trucking HR Canada, the Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is proud to present the first Western Women With Drive Leadership Conference May 10, 2017 in Calgary.
In 2015, Statistics Canada reported 48 per cent of women made up the Canadian labour force, and of that, only three per cent worked in the transportation and warehousing industry. With Western Women With Drive, the AMTA would like to bring that underrepresentation to light in a setting allowing attendees, both men and women, to learn from industry leaders, connect with peers and showcase their commanding presence as emerging industry stakeholders.
“With the success of the Trucking HR Canada Women With Drive conference in Ontario, we feel Alberta is the perfect place to hold an additional conference highlighting the roles women play in the transportation industry,” says AMTA president Lorraine Card. “We have an outstanding group of presenters covering a variety of topics and there will be plenty of opportunity for networking as well.”
Speakers and panelists include Trucking HR Canada’s Angela Splinter, Westport Innovations Karen Hamberg, motivational speaker Michelle Cederberg, Westcan Bulk Transport President and CEO Grant Mitchell and more. A full list of speakers and panelists is available at amta.ca.
The conference will take place at the Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel May 10, 2017 with registration opening at 8 am. For more information or to reserve your seat, or table today, click here
