Abstract

Biomechanical experiments produce large quantities of inhomogeneous data that is difficult to be interpreted or the output of the interpretation is very partial. In this paper the use of OpenSim software as an integrative platform for all the different signals is presented. OpenSim is a musculoskeletal simulation software for the modeling of an experiment. It provides the possibility to visualize, interpret, combine and in general a better insight of the meaning of all the different types of measured signals. The analysis of an experiment concerning the volunteer’s head neck reaction during motorcycle’s braking is presented as an example of the method.
