Abstract
This paper describes the use of several recently developed community-based, macro-level collision prediction models (CPMs) in a transferability case study between spatial-temporal regions. The objective of this paper is to present model-use guidelines in a case study that involved models developed in the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD), using 1996 data, being calibrated for use in the Central Okanagan Regional District (CORD) using 2003 data. The GVRD and CORD are regions located 400 kilometres apart in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. The results of this transferability study revealed that macrolevel CPM transferability was feasible and successful and no more complicated than micro-level CPM transferability.
