Abstract
The experience gained on three large highway P3 Projects demonstrated that including Safety Audits into a road projects yielded significant safety related benefits to the road users. These include barrier installation (taper rates, post positioning, etc); identification of missing or incorrect signs and pavement markings; hazards in the clear zone; parallel and transverse drainage devices (large inlets, outlets in the clear zone.)
