Abstract
For families with low incomes, the cost of a car seat or booster seat can be a barrier to keeping their children safe. Child Safety Link, with funding from the Government of Nova Scotia, developed a program of providing a small grant to family resource centres to subsidize the purchase of car seats and booster seats for those who need them. This paper will outline the ways that administration and liability issues were addressed.
