National Collision Database (NCDB) Online
The National Collision Database (NCDB) Online application is now available on the Transport Canada Road Safety website.
NCDB Online is a web-based application that contains 23 variables pertaining to motor vehicle fatal and injury collisions that occurred on public roads in Canada. These data are collected by the Canadian provinces and territories, and then aggregated to provide national-level data that are made available to the public in NCDB Online. NCDB Online allows users to create custom data extracts.
NCDB Online can be accessed on Transport Canada’s Road Safety homepage (http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/roadsafety/menu.htm), by clicking on the link National Collision Database (NCDB) located under “What’s New” or by going directly to http://www.tc.gc.ca/VehicleCollisions.
There are both an online Tutorial and a Help function that can be selected from the homepage or from any screen within the application. We suggest users start with the Tutorial.
