Request For Proposal - Methodology for the Collection of Alcohol and Drug Impaired Driving Data in Canada
The overall objective of this project is to consider various methodologies for collecting data on alcohol and drug use by drivers in Canada (e.g., coroner data, hospital data, roadside survey data, self-reported behaviour, etc) in order to monitor the magnitude of the impaired driving issue. The contractor is expected to review the current methodologies being used in Canada for measuring alcohol and drug impaired driving, review what valid methodologies are being used in other countries in order to identify best practices and then to identify how current methodologies could be improved and what new methodologies could be implemented in Canada based on these best practices.
