Objectives of the Workshop:

To give participants an understanding of:

  • Purpose of program evaluation
  • Evaluation process
  • How to conduct evaluations

Workshop Overview:

  • Definition and purpose of program evaluation
  • Program evaluation process (i.e., logic module, involving stakeholders, developing evaluation plan, identifying data)
  • Conducting evaluations (i.e., formative, process, impact, outcome)
  • Examples of road safety program evaluations (e.g., STEP campaign on seat belts in Ottawa)
  • Exercises on developing logic model and developing a plan for evaluation
