The three winning authors, plus the fourth and fifth place honourable mention winners, will also receive complimentary conference registration to the 29th CARSP Conference in Calgary, Alberta from May 26-29, 2019, up to $1,000 for travel expenses (depending on where the student is residing at the time of the conference). Winning authors must present their papers at the conference to receive their award.

Authors should complete the online submission form and upload their paper by Monday, April 15, 2019.   All entries will be judged by an expert panel of road safety professionals from across Canada and the results will be announced May 6, 2019.

Papers should be written and formatted according to CARSP Conference requirements, which can be found at  Both English and French entries will be accepted. Authors should indicate whether their paper falls within the Policy and Practice Stream or the Research and Evaluation Stream upon submittal, more information on which can be found at  Note that students that have already submitted their papers in response to the general CARSP Conference call for papers are still eligible for this competition, but will need to submit their paper again using the link above.
